Today for lunch I had a peanut butter, marshmallow and pretzel sandwich. It was quite delightful. Oh the creativity that is encouraged when you have no time or money to go grocery shopping.
Also two nights ago Ally slept across the bottom of my bed; she is now my little puppy dog. Believe me shoving my feet under her to stretch out is easier than trying to wake her up haha.
Sometimes college is great.

I cannot wait to end this semester and start the program. There is something telling me that this will be a new chapter in my life. For the last two years I feel like I've been kinda of stagnant. In school I haven't really been working towards anything, my confidence and self assurance that is usually rock solid has shrunk instead of grown, and my testimony of the gospel has changed, not really grown not necessarily shrunk, just changed. With the beginning of this semester I will be pushed into the unknown. I don't know any of my roommates and the program is going to be busy and challenging. I will have to rely on the Lord for strength and I will have to grow to be able to handle this jump into darkness. I'm super excited and extremely nervy. Finals need to be over so that I can get out of the doorway and into the next room.

I am tasting chocolate milk again...

After working at a computer repair shop with brilliant nerds, no offense, for two years I've come to the knowledge that PCs are better than Macs. Wanna know why? Too bad, i'm going to tell you anyways. Simply put PCs are better for work and for play. A. They are better for work because when you are trying to work on a project and your Mac computer breaks it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to fix without going to that stupid mac store and paying over a hundred dollars to have someone to simply repair and/or switch out your hard drive.
B. They are better for play because if you need more space on your computer because of all the pictures and movies you have or if your mac is running slow because of an awesome HD computer game you have you can't simply break open the computer and add an extra hard drive or faster processor.
FACT: Macs are intentionally designed so that the consumer cannot fix their own problem. And if you like all the extra features, flashes and bangs that macs have..well did you know that you can set up a mac processing system on your pc and flip back and forth between them? Well, you can! I've seen it done several times.
This rant comes from a person using a mac that broke tonight. Good thing I can borrow them for free and just switch it out for a new computer.
on a happier note, i saw a shooting star as i was coming out of the library tonight. love the sky.

I'm pretty sure I've blogged about this before, but YOU SHOULD DO IT. Watch Heima by Sigur Ros. It's on youtube in two parts. I'm watching it while I study and instead of distracting me it's helping me focus. ...I say this as I'm writing a blog post instead of studying but whatevah. I saw Joe's brother today. They look exactly alike, talk exactly alike, and they are exactly alike. I swear every time I talk to him I'm half convinced it's Joe. Miss that kid. But I got a letter from Japan! woohoo

is it bad that whenever i see the smart people from my high school, who were all in my AP classes, especially AP English for some reason, that were super into school and kind of looked down on me because i had a life besides school, i feel like getting all up in their face and saying "yeah sucka, I got into BYU too, what now?!" probably. Oh well, it gives me sweet pleasure none the less.

On Thursday Ally and I went to the canyon at like seven because she needed to find caterpillars instead we had a photoshoot on the rocks and took pictures of our creeper faces in the trees. Then we realized how dark it was and that it was stupid for two girls to be alone in the canyon with no cell phone service so we quickly walked back pretending that we did have service.
So, saw Sugar Ray for free tonight. THAT was great. As was being five feet away from Jimmer. And of course dancing in the Riverwoods while the fireworks were going was great as well. Oh and I saw something wonderful and stared at it unabashedly. Then sang songs about it walking to the car. And I hung out with people tonight that weren't my roommates or the boys next door. Refreshing to talk with new people and hear the band drama that's behind the scenes of a good show haha. I'm going to Mass tomorrow for my world religions class at the Cathedral of the Madeleine with my brother. That should be pretty and I don't know why I always write my blog posts really late at night when I'm tired and tend to ramble because then I sound like an awful loser when really I can be kinda cool sometimes. oh well.

Keely gets home in one month! I cannot even wait. I couldn't put it up on facebook as a status because she has a missionary profile now and I didn't want to get her trunky or anxious. Man, I'm excited to see her face.
This weekend was general conference. I love listening to these wise men and women speak inspired words from God. Elder Holland's talk was one of my favorite, as was President Uchtdorf, oh as was Elder Scott's and of course our Prophet, Seer and Revelator President Monson. I love conference because it reminds me that I can improve my character with God's help and become a better person. It reminds me that there is such a goodness at work in this world, God's goodness. I always have new resolve to live life more full and with an external perspective. Also, conference weekend always means that there's only a few more weeks of school hollar! p.s. my portfolio is turned in and so I read a book for fun this weekend. It..was miraculous.
