"douche baggery" and missing legs

I went down to Ally's this weekend. Whoop! After numerous encounters, I've (and by I've I mean Ally and I) decided that I'm more comfortable having douche bags as friends then RMs right now. We went swimming at her apartment's pool Saturday night and met these three guys. They were arrogant toerags but extremely funny, inappropriate, arrogant toerags. They were European and on Energy drinks. One of them was heavily, heavily hitting on me. I'm not saying that like, "OH my my GASH, I'm SO cool". But really he was. I was not even flirting back with him AT ALL, I was just being rude. Really rude. To no avail apparently as he asked for the numbers and invited us to go long boarding. I decided that I like his friendship though cause he's really funny, obviously not looking for anything and he can apparently likes it when I'm rude to him. Guys like that are nice to have around. Yes it's rather shallow, shoot me. If they're arrogant than you don't get attached. A funny side note: The one guy started hitting on me, and admitted that when he first decided we were interesting, was after I said that I wanted to wash my hair in beer on my 21st birthday. Classy. haha.

Meeting the nice RMs on the other hand was intimidating. They wanted to know everything about you, spouting the typical questions: Where are you from? What's your major? How many people are in your family? I'll be shot if the douche bag friends asked me anything about my family. All I could hear when they talked to me was the Jaws theme song. Seriously though. Awkward, awkward, awkwawrd small talk was all it was. GGGggreattt.

Don't get me wrong usually I prefer the truly great friendships with people I care about where we can talk literally about anything. Right now though, all of those are leaving on missions. While I adjust to this I'm cool with Ally and a couple of douche bag friends.

Renaldo lost his leg! We thought he went and died on us. He was fine when I moved him down to stay in Provo, fine when we went to church, but lo and behold we come home from church and his leg was sitting next to him! After we both screamed, ran from the room in surprise and disgust, and mourned for him while flopped on the couch, Ally wanted to see what most likely killed him. While researching she found out 1st: that he most likely died from loneliness 2nd: there was a possibility that he wasn't dead at all as legs sometimes fall off of crabs if they've been through stress. This gave us renewed hope. We carefully removed him from the cage, touching only his shell just in case he were actually dead for really. Gross. Then we remade him a new crab paradise home. We waited, and waited. After about an hour or so I saw him move! After about another hour or so he came out and explored his new home. Personally, I'm convinced that he died but then saw how dope his new home was and decided to come back to the family.

she's such a bad a

her walk could use a little work though.

p.s. I'm sorry I keep renaming my blog haha. This one will stick. Most likely.

Fare Thee Well

I've been to several farewells these past few weeks. All of the boys did AMAZING jobs. People always go on and on to the girls about how they influence whether the boys go on missions and help them gain their testimonies blah blah blah. For me it's been the opposite. I've been going to farewells for around two and a half years now. Every time I hear one of my friends up there on the pulpit bearing their testimony and speaking with the spirit you can just feel how much they believe what they're saying. It's such a beautiful thing to me when I see these 19 year old boys giving up two years to serve the Lord. They give up so much but the Lord gives them more then they could possibly miss in return for serving Him. I see their faith in Him and my faith is strengthened. I see them up there so excited and ready to bring His children into the gospel and it makes me want to be better. That's the way it happens, not the other was around. I'm so proud of all the missionaries out there especially my friends (and sister). I'm grateful that I grew up with such great guys around me. Living in Kaysville, Utah and going to Davis High School then to BYU means that I literally know over 50 guys out on missions! THAT is being a great example. So...thank you.

favorite things

The simple and ordinary events in life are often the most gratifying. One of those moments is laying down in the cool grass on a summers day, looking up at the branches of a tree to see the sun filtering softly through, while the wind whispers between its leaves.

If what they say is true that every time you sneeze it's a fourth of an orgasm then I had about fifty today. That's how much I sneezed. Allergies can go jump off a cliff.
