laughing at snl is my job.
Last night missy and jon and i were sitting in the wilk having a pretty serious conversation. All of a sudden we here this "Sisters do as sisters may, we're all together sisters" ,at least i think that's how it goes, anyways it was such a great moment. we all just kind of looked at each other and started singing along with it under our breath laughing. It was obviously the first time these guys had seen it because they were simply busting a gut over it and of course, they watched it several times. that skit can always make me happy.
along with friends.
cheers!

so tonight..
It's funny how time can change things. For example i went to see a show at my highschool tonight. It was great, i felt completely at peace being in the audience. Actually i was never in the class that this show was put on by, but stil it just took one more viewing of a show at my old school to get me there. I was not quite there at night of shakespeare. but now i've got those memories locked in my heart and i'm good. It was nice to go there from the other side tonight. Even though i wasn't in the class, last year i knew everyone in the class, i knew all the drama that was happening, had to deal with it. boo. This year i was able to step back and see how temporary it all is. To see that made me realize how we must cherish the good things then forgive and forget the bad. Time makes you realize that if people are truly important to you, you will make an effort to stay in contact with them! some things just die..but that's okay. It was good for the moment, right? makes a good memory. Love you long time :)
by the way: why the heck is ihop the only place that stays open 24 hours?!

pieces
Today i've been thinking about pieces. I watched Across the Universe for the first time yesterday, well actually i'd seen the first half before, so i FINISHED Across the Universe yesterday. There were such beautiful moments that i got to the point where i was like "oh man, i wanna make babies to this song" (holler to emma). It brought to the surface the hippie in me that had been surprisingly dormant for awhile. It envoked a Beatles listening phase. I tend to go in cycles where that's literally all i listen to for a few weeks then i branch off but i always go back...LOVE them. anyways I think we need these types of reminders in our life, these moments that awaken of a part of ourselves that maybe has been squandered by day to day doldrums of life. If we don't take the time to re-cultivate these parts of ourselves they can easily die. For example, i find myself quite frequently having to set aside time to keep my inner child alive and well. if i don't then i will forget that part of myself. and forgetting is what i fear most.
