Get ready for quote purging!! because my sticky notes are covering my computer and it's getting ridiculous.

Dis how I been living my life:

"There is a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better, for worse, as his portion; that though the wide universe is full of good, no kernel of nourishing corn can come to him but through his toil bestowed on that plot of ground which is given to him to till. The power which resides in him is new in nature, and none but he knows what that is which he can do, nor does he know until he has tried."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

"fatalism is a species of fear-the fear that your fate is in your own hands, and your hands are weak"

"Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the romance of the unusual"
-Ernest Hemingway

"Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside while still alive. Never surrender." -Tupac Shakur

"examine the contents, not the bottle"

"We must learn to reawaken and keep ourselves awake, not by mechanical aids, but by an infinite expectation of the dawn, which does not forsake us in our soundest sleep. I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by a conscious endeavor. It is something to be able to paint a particular picture, or to carve a statue, and so to make a few objects beautiful; but it is far more glorious to carve and paint the very atmosphere and medium through which we look, which morally we can do. To affect the quality of the day, that is the highest of arts."
--Henry David Thoreau, "What I Lived For," Walden

When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everybody will respect you.
-Lao-Tzu, Chinese philosopher

The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender.
-Vince Lombardi

If you are bored with life, if you don’t get up every morning with a burning desire to do things - you don’t have enough goals.
- Lou Holtz

How much larger your life would be if your self could become smaller
in it; if you could really look at other men with common curiosity and
pleasure. You would begin to be interested in them, because they
were not interested in you. You would break out ofthis tiny and tawdry theatre in which your own little plot is always being played, and you would find yourselves under a freer sky, in a street full of splendid strangers.
-G. K. Chesterton

Whatever they have is something needed to do their work. Their magic is theirs. You don't lack it. You don't need it. It has nothing to do with you. Period.

"There are no rules. That is how art is born, how breakthrough can happen. Go against the rules or ignore the rules. That is what invention is all about"
- Helen Frankenthaler

Each spasm of selfishness narrows one's universe that much more. Selfishness causes us to settle for so much less than that which we are capable of as it relentlessly shrinks our supply of selfesteem.
-neil l maxwell

"Remember that I love you dearly and think of you often! Remember that God loves you, I love you, and Satan hates your guts. He's just annoying and doesn't want any of us to truly be happy. Turn to Heavenly Father because His arms are always open."
-Ally Smart

"Hence, I say any movement towards creation is good, because even if the creation ends up weaker than you'd hoped, you still brought into existence a thing pointed in the direction you are aiming for, and hence you inch yourself in that direction as well."

"good looking people, they got no spine. their art never lasts"
-almost famous

Pay no attention to those who talk behind your back; it only means that you're two steps ahead of them.

You know those movies that you've grown up with that are just wonderful. but when you watch them with other people they stare transfixed at the screen looking almost like they're going to do something rash to get out of watching the mixture of cheesy acting, splotchy painted backrounds and characters that burst into a song they made up, but somehow everyone knows all the words and shabby choreography to go along? yuss. love those.

Due to an unfortunate, kinda dumb, incident that I don't really want to go into, Alaska fell through. Kind of a bummer. A big bummer, but I feel okay with it. So the last few weeks I've been applying for jobs like crazy. Over twenty applications, gross. It paid off! Or rather God gave me a blessing. I got a great job! I'm going to be working on a ranch in the Uintas. I leave the 29th then come back home the 1st for Keely's wedding then take off again with just three remaining vacation days for the rest of the season. So yeah, won't be coming home. Probably for the rest of the summer. Goodbye civilization! I'm excited to be basically-stranded far from the grappling clutch of your strangling grip. It's time. We need a break from one another. Not even cell phones can reach me there! The internets can, though. That's good, really. Total abstraction from regular life might encourage me to do something drastically nature child. We'll see what happen!

It was the last leg of my journey. I was gasping for breath, my legs were cramping up, and even Drop it Low by Ester Dean couldn't completely banish that sly thought from the corner of my mind, that sweet nectar to my convulsing stomach. Then as if in a vision, a fellow runner suddenly rounds the corner. As we pass she lifts her left hand up in salute of the strenuous task we had both undertaken. My hand also goes up to mimic her gesture of sisterhood. We high five and keep running down opposite paths. In my mind a fresh determination is born, my muscles are filled with sudden strength and Ester Dean's sweet duet with Chris Brown pulses freely in my ears and throughout my body. Thanks friend. I will forever remember in my heart your undying support in my time of need.

Okay yeah, so I just finished writing my English final and I'm still in embellishment mode. But I'm running a half-marathon in Skagway. It's super ghetto which makes way excited about it cause it's cheap and only about fifteen people ran it last year. So, I wrote a this huge post about how I hate people that boast about running on facebook but this isn't facebook. So I don't feel like such a hypocrite. And no, I didn't post it because it also went on about other things people do on facebook that I hate. I'm sure it would've offended someone.

Oh also, I got into the Studio Arts program and the Art Education program. Woohoo! Unfortunately, now I have to choose which one. The better good of two goods shouldn't be that hard to figure out right? rigggght.

Oh also, Keely is engaged. They're getting murried June 2, yayerz.

Yes, that's all.
